Gathering.

Communities come together. Wesley creates events centered on a common interest to bring people together.

People stuff: Some events focus on connecting people to one another. A brief prayer before dinner is the most "churchy" thing that happens at these events.

God stuff: Some events try to connect people to God as well as to each other, from a Christian perspective. Here, the focus is on God and Christianity, and there is often encouragement to dig deeper.

God Stuff

RETHINK Worship - Sundays at 11 a.m.

Our Sunday morning worship service invites us to RETHINK what we've learned through the week and through our lives, about the world, Christianity, and ourselves. Prayer, music, and communion invite us to connect more closely with God. Sermons cover a broad range of Christian ideas, challenging us to think for ourselves and build a mature faith of our own.

Tacos and Topics - Tuesdays at 9 p.m.

Tuesday nights we start at the Wesley Center and walk over to La Senoritas. Buy what you choose to eat and drink, or just enjoy chips and salsa - we'll listen to one of the "Screwtape Letters" (by C. S. Lewis, read by John Cleese), start discussing it, and see where the conversation leads us.

Mid-Week Communion - Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Wednesday night we gather for a service focused on prayer and communion. Very informal, this service provides more time for conversation and interaction with one another, and often varies depending on the interests of those who attend.

Send Me

Named after the response "Send Me!" in Isaiah 6:8, this group carries out service projects and looks for ways to bring society closer to the vision of God's Realm shared by Jesus and the prophets.

People Stuff

Sunday Night Dinners at 6 p.m.

Free food, home cooked and delicious. And plenty of good people to share it with. Enjoy a boardgame or two afterwards, or the occasional optional presentation.

Swing Dancing - Sundays at 8 p.m.

"Just a Swing Thing," CMU's Swing Dance RSO, meets at Wesley at 8:00 Sunday nights. Each meeting starts with lessons. There's no need to bring a partner or to know how to dance - this group is great at welcoming newcomers.

Food for Thought - Tuesdays 5 - 8 p.m.

What's way better than study time? Study time with food! Coffee and simple crock pot food are available starting at 5 p.m. for folks who enjoy some company while they study. Wesley has free WiFi so you'll be connected while you work.

Friday Night at the Movies - 8 p.m.

Close each week with a film on our 16 foot screen with surround sound! Both classics and recent releases make their way to our cinema. If you're a movie fan, you won't want to miss the opportunity to see some older films on the BIG SCREEN - it truly makes a difference.
